Afghan Hounds Are Smarter Than You Think!

According to Stanley Coren’s The Intelligence of Dogs, the Afghan Hound is the least intelligent dog of the 110 breeds that were ranked. Sorry Mr. Coren, we (and these adorable Afghan puppies) beg to differ.

These precious Afghan Hound puppies are merely 8 weeks old. They are already being trained by their co-owner, world-renowned trainer Diane Bauman and learning fast! Despite where Stanley Coren
ranks Afghan’s in his intelligence scale, you can see for yourself how smart these dogs really are.

Our friend Diane Bauman is now looking for performance homes for some of these pups. They’re far too smart to just sit there and look pretty!

Cat Expo Major Success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Garden State Cat Club’s Cat Expo this weekend! The event was a booming success, up in attendance by 40% from last year!

Special thanks to SGW and Niles Wolfson for the media blitz helping to create such an amazing turnout.

We had so much fun at the expo! There were cats in cars,  face painting, and lots of vendors.
There were some adorable cats to be adopted and a cat agility event in which our very own Pippi participated in.

Check out some photos of the event below!

Hopefully everyone else who went enjoyed it just as much! (And maybe even brought home a new furry friend!)
Let us know if you enjoyed the expo, too!

Pippi: Rising Star

Our very own beautiful Somali cat, Pippi stands proudly admiring her growing collection of award ribbons. Most recently Pippi received awards for her speed in cat agility

and placed in the finals for best kitten against 50 other breeds of kittens in Saturday’s CFA cat show in Delaware.

Follow the story of the talented and beautiful Pippi as it unfolds! Stay tuned to our blog to find out more!
