After a crazy few weeks of non-stop shooting, we thought we would take a minute and show you some behind-the-scenes photos of what we do.
There is a lot of work and people that go into creating the perfect image. To name a few, you have lighting, makeup and helpful hands. You also have clients, computers and of course, the talent!
So be brave! Get out the equipment, and keep shooting!
From a solid 80 degrees earlier last week, this unpredictable NJ fall has sped into a chilly wintry temperature. With low temperatures creeping into the 40’s this weather is quite a shock! So get ready for a wild winter! Break out those heavy coats and toasty gloves for the frigid evenings ahead.
Although many of us weren’t ready for such a quick start into cold weather, embrace it! Have some hot coffee or hot chocolate and bundle yourself up. Get out and get some winter action like skiing up in the mountains before the winter rush!
Think warm thoughts!
Reine the lovely Afghan hound certainly got her beauty sleep! But was it enough? If you’re having a tough time waking up today, like Reine, read on!
Here are some tips and tricks to get yourself awake and ready for the day:
Thanks to Diane Bauman for our sleeping beauty, Reine.
Mondays are one of those days where you just don’t want to get out of bed in the morning…the bed is still so warm and it’s a little chilly outside. Then your alarm goes off, and you are not a happy camper. Somali cat, Pippi knows just how you feel today! Sometimes hitting snooze for an extra few minutes is entirely necessary. Brew some fresh coffee (extra strong) to help you get going.
When photographing food in an environmental setting, attention to detail is key. Notice the creamy cup of butter next to the pastry?
Or the carefully placed newspaper by the coffee? The soft background baked goods add more of an atmosphere to the scene. The lighting hints at a morning glow around the food.
These details can help the viewer envision themselves in the setting and enjoying the wonderful food!
There is no better way to start off your week than with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and a delicious pastry.
These scrumptious morsels were photographed for Samba restaurant in Montclair, NJ.
Why not head on over to make your Monday a little sweeter?
Shooting Feasting. 🙂
Let me set the scene for you…
It’s one of those grey and rainy, yet wonderfully cozy, “I-don’t-want-to-get-out-of-bed-ever” mornings. You throw the covers back, walk groggily to the kitchen, wishing you were still wearing your bed. You switch on your coffee maker, only to realize the horror which awaits…. you’re out of coffee.
We’d like to believe that these delicious children knew the exact feeling of such a morning!
